I live in Peterborough, Ontario with my husband Peter, cockapoo Sophie (the little dog that thinks she’s a human), and cat Zöe. I have two grown sons and two adorable, mischievous grandsons, who keep me on my toes! I’ve recently retired after teaching Travel & Tourism at Fleming College for 25 years. Prior to that I worked in the travel trade as a travel counselor and tour organizer.
In my spare time I love to plan and take trips, play pickleball, do yoga, paint, practice photography and ride my bike.
I have loved travelling since I was young. The opportunity to experience new cultures or see different landscapes totally excites me, while at the same time helps me remember how lucky I am to live in Canada.
I think you will enjoy experiencing a trip with me as your tour host. Having visited 50+ countries, I’ve experienced all kinds of travel scenarios/situations. I also love helping people connect with each other and connect to a destination. Picking a favourite destination is difficult, but I must say I love being anywhere in Europe and that Iceland was one of the most geographically unique places I have visited. English is my only language, but I’m pretty good at being able to order a glass of wine in any language! My friends describe me as caring, positive, and thorough, with a good sense of humour (a requirement when travelling!). Lastly, one piece of travel advice: always travel with an open mind. Be open to new experiences and go with the flow.
I would love to have you join me on a Women's Travel Club Tour. Let's go on an adventure together!
