Arrival Details CRUISE ONLY INFORMATION: Arrive to Findel, Luxembourg – Luxembourg Airport (LUX) – on the first day of the cruise. PRE-CRUISE INFORMATION: Arrive to Roissy-en-France, France – Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG) – on the first day of the pre-cruise land package (November 2).	Departure Details CRUISE ONLY INFORMATION: Depart from Basel, Switzerland – EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg (BSL) – on the last day of the cruise. POST-CRUISE INFORMATION: Depart from Zurich, Switzerland – Zurich Airport (ZRH) – on the last day of the post-cruise land package (November 16).	Airport Transfers Airport transfers are not included with your tour.

Weather Luxembourg: Average temperature ranges between 5°C (41°F) and 8°C (46°F), with exceptional possible peaks as low as -4°C (25°F) and high as 18°C (64°F). Germany: Average temperatures are between 4.2°C (39°F) and 9.2°C (48°F), with exceptional possible peaks as low as -12°C (10°F) and high as 24°C (75°). France: Average temperature ranges from 11°C (21°F) to 6 °C (43°F), with lows of 5°C (41°F) to 1°C (34°F). Switzerland: Average temperature ranges from 8°C (47 °F) during the day to 2 °C (35 °F) at night.	Currency The official currency in Luxembourg, Germany and France is the Euro (€/EUR). Coins come in denominations of 2€, 1€ and 50, 20, 10, 5, 2 and 1 cents. Notes or bills are differentiated by their size and colour and come in denominations of 500, 200, 100, 50, 20, 10 and 5 euros. The official currency in Switzerland is the Swiss franc (CHF). Banknotes come in denominations of 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 1000 francs. Coins come in denominations of 5, 10, 20, 50 rappen and 1, 2, 5 francs. Currency can be exchanged in banks, exchange offices, airports and major hotels. In Luxembourg, ATMs are widely available and accept debit and credit cards linked to the Cirrus and PLUS networks. All major credit cards are accepted. In Germany, debit cards and major credit cards (American Express, Visa, Mastercard) are accepted, but smaller shops and cafés might only accept cash payments. Therefore, it’s wise to have some euro bills and coins on hand. In France, virtually all ATMs take MasterCard and Visa, and most are linked to the Cirrus and Plus systems. American Express has ATMs in major cities. Note: Most French ATM keyboards have numbers only, so if your PIN contains letters, remember the number equivalents. Four- and five-digit PINs are acceptable in France. Credit cards are accepted in a large number of shops, hotels, and restaurants. Shopkeepers often state a minimum charge. In Switzerland, ATMs are common in major cities and towns. However, ATMs may be less common in rural areas. Credit and debit cards are accepted almost everywhere. The most common are Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Maestro.	Electric Outlets Electricity on board all AmaWaterways ships is 220v, with 2-pin power outlets. You will need an adapter, and/or converter depending on which electrical appliances you bring with you. In Luxembourg, Germany, France and Switzerland there are for associated plug types, types C, E, F and type J. Type C plugs have two round pins, type E plugs have two round pins and a hole for the socket’s male earthing pin, type F plugs have two round pins with two earth clips on the side and type J plugs have three round pins. Luxembourg, Germany, France and Switzerland operate on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz. A universal all-in-one travel adapter (can be purchased from retailers like Amazon) will allow you to plug in and charge most electronic devices. Most electronic devices have built-in converters. However, if you plan to use North American appliances like hair dryers, flat irons or curling irons you will need a converter.
