Travel has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Whether it’s experiencing a new culture, discovering a stunning landscape, or simply sharing a memorable meal with wonderful people, I love the way travel broadens our perspectives and reminds us how connected the world truly is.
I recently retired after teaching Travel & Tourism at Fleming College for 25 years, where I had the privilege of helping students discover the many opportunities that travel can offer. Before that, I worked as a travel counselor and tour organizer, helping others turn their travel dreams into reality.
At home in Peterborough, Ontario, I share life with my husband Peter, our cockapoo Sophie, who is convinced she’s human, and our cat Zöe. We also have two grown sons and two energetic grandsons who keep life fun and busy.
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to visit more than 50 countries. While it’s impossible to choose a favourite destination, Europe will always have a special place in my heart, and Iceland remains one of the most fascinating and geographically unique places I’ve ever experienced.
One of the things I enjoy most about hosting is helping women connect, not only with the destination but also with one another. Some of the best travel memories come from the friendships formed along the journey.
My travel philosophy is simple: travel with an open mind. Be curious, embrace new experiences, and don’t be afraid to go with the flow. That’s often when the most memorable moments happen.
